The Role & Project

 

MACA are seeking experienced Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) personnel to join the NPI team working across key MACA and Thiess sites in the Southwest, Pilbara and Goldfields!

Typical NPI tasks include the installation of dome structures, modular buildings and precast concrete slabs; detailed earthworks to suit the above; trenching and installation of services underground, including above ground reticulation within structures; as well as working alongside specialist subcontractors installing and commissioning steel framed workshops, bulk fuel and lubricant storage facilities, washpads, sediment ponds, magazine and ANFO facilities.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Previous experience in either:
    • Civil plant operations: bobcat (skid steer) and mini excavator, with padfoot / flat drum roller and IT wheel loader tickets advantageous, or;
    • Relevant trade certification (carpentry or plumbing advantageous).
  • Elevated Work Platform and HRWL Working at Heights tickets and experience.
  • Current HR licence advantageous.
  • Basic Rigging ticket very advantageous.
  • Good all-round knowledge of small civil works and construction practises, including the installation and dismantling of dome structures and transportable modular buildings.
  • The ability to work as part of a small team and multitask on a variety of small work packages within each overall project.
  • A pro-active, can-do attitude and the ability to hit the ground running.
  • Sound knowledge of safe mine site work practices – writing JHAs – identifying and controlling hazards.
  • Good communication skills and easy-going nature.
